I’m so excited to announce that I will be joining forces with Mishma of Chasing Faerytales to bring the book community a very fabulous Thanksgiving celebration called The Thanks U Give!

Coming from a place where I’m not able to celebrate such a wonderful holiday, it’s always been inspiring to see others from the bookish community give thanks and talk about their own celebrations with their loved ones.

Because I truly believe that our bookish community is a special place that deserves all the love, I was more than willing to help Mishma for her Thanksgiving project and co-host this event.

As y’all know, the wonderful Angie Thomas has an upcoming book called The Hate U Give and since it’s been on my mind (because I’m dying to read it), the title of the book inspired our feature’s name! After all, the main reason why Mishma and I are doing this event is because we want any existing hate and bitterness in the bookish community to be turned into positivity, thanks and love instead.

The Thanks U Give will run during Thanksgiving week (Nov 21-27, 2016) and we hope you can join us give thanks to all the amazing people who make up this amazing community. We’ll be having a blog hop through the event as well as a Twitter chat on Thanksgiving day (Nov 24) at 10 am EST! Tweet the official hashtag: #TheThanksUGive to spread the word and join the Twitter conversation!

Whether you’re a blogger, reader, bookstagrammer, booktuber or author, you’re more than welcome to take part in The Thanks U Give. You can join in just by sharing a post on your website or social media to express your gratitude for books, authors, bloggers and bookish people. There will be a link-up list of all the patticipants so that the love and thanksgiving can go around.
